Shamrock Insurance Announces Teacher Supply Giveaway Winners

More than 200 local teachers were nominated for the classroom supply giveaway.

Shamrock Insurance Agency has announced the winners of its Teacher Supply Giveaway after receiving more than 200 nominations for local teachers.

The giveaway was created to recognize area educators and help provide classroom supplies for teachers serving students in Marion and surrounding communities.

The $750 classroom supply giveaway winner is Zach Ball of Grant Middle School.

The $250 classroom supply giveaway winner is Courtney White of Benjamin Harrison Elementary.

Throughout the campaign, community members were invited to request a free, no-obligation insurance quote from Shamrock Insurance Agency and nominate a teacher. Each completed qualifying quote counted as one entry in the drawing.

Katie Grimes, agency principal and owner of Shamrock Insurance Agency, announced the winners during a Facebook Live drawing. During the video, Grimes said the agency was “blown away” by the response and by the number of local educators nominated.

The campaign highlighted a simple reality: many teachers spend their own money on classroom supplies each year. Shamrock Insurance created the giveaway as a way to support local classrooms and recognize the teachers who continue showing up for students.

Shamrock also plans to help connect more nominated teachers with the community by sharing classroom supply wish lists, giving local residents another way to support area educators.
